Civil Society

People organize themselves in many different ways: in families, governments and businesses. These three help define the foundations of a society. But they remain distant, distinct entities. Linking factors are necessary to fit them together. The concept of ‘civil society’ sums up these factors: they include values that connect people, such as democracy and faith. But they also include social institutions such as education and non-governmental organizations. Additionally, forms of behavior – such as noabership – play a role. Thus we are an active part of civil society and we would like to support and encourage others to participate in this together with us.
